its going to depend on the salon. at my salon, we use Matrix on everyones hair, and it comes out great on african americans. but, each salon carries theyre own brand of color. they choose what line they like and thats what they have available. so, if you want a specific brand, youd have to call around and find out who carries that brand. but, stylists are trained to work on all types of hair, and hair dye is made to work on all types. maybe ask for a semi or demi permanent as they are less damaging. but, as far as a brand goes, you can use just about anything. just go to a good stylist in a good salon and theyll know how to handle your hair.
