Ok im no expert, but I once got 2 perms at different times, and my hair was a terrible mess. If I were you try the straightener. It works wonders.

If i were you i would use a straightener. The best brand would defietly be a Chi-150 dollers, If you going for a cheaper one Fhi-95 dollers. Maybe get a hair band and leave your bangs out (straighten bangs only) Its a quick cute look.

Hope This Helps!

Oh my, my daugter suffers from the same thing she is black and asian and her hair is curly also I've brought everything I know when its wet it looks ok but once dried it turns into a frizzy mess. I have even taken her to a beautician and they didn't do any better. If I put anything in her hair scrunchies, baretts I have to make sure to take then out at night because they will become twisted in her hair. So don't give up we are fighting the problem also and if I find something that works I'll let you know.

Cut your split ends first. Then after washing and conditioning, towel dry hair to it's nearly dry to the touch, blow dry hair in Sm sections using low heat first, then hot heat. this seals the hairs cuticle making it silky and shine. then flat iron using Sm section of hair. wrap ea. nite with silk, satin, or a polyester scarf. not cotton cotton absorbs to much moister drying hair out.

Try using a regular iron, like for clothes. I swear it works really well. Just have someone else do it for you, it's kinda tricky to do on yourself.
