I have caucasian hair but I have always loved the style of microbraids on African American hair but have been worried that because of the tightness of the braids it will ruin my hair. Any info?

unless your hair is really thick, it is not a good idea. it will look silly, and break your hair.

White women get braids all the time when they go on vacation in the carribbean or Hawaii. You have nothing to worrry about ~ it's not going to ruin your hair. Go for it.

I am white with white hair and I've had micro braids. I had my head cornrowed then had micro-brades throughout the length of my hair. I loved the look and the freedom of the style, but I could only leave the cornrows in for 5 days because my head really hurt and the scalp began to itch. It was not damaging to my hair, but if you have the braids closed with rubber bands, then you may end up pulling some hairs out when you take them out.

OK........you said your white.....so am i -a friend i knew had her hair micro-braided and ended up with a lot of breakage and her hair was basically destroyed.....don't do it plus, you'll end up looking like a whigger
