I'm a little bit of a few things, and I find that a good hot oil treatment, conditioner, and a Chi work all things out! I would try a chi, or something like it, with the heat protector and see how that works, I'm sure you'll love the result.

I have very coarse hair and I relax it,I found a product that allows me to smooth it down even when I'm due for a touch-up. I found a product by Jonathan that's called Create Straight which is a straightening serum, and Finish Shine which you apply after flat-ironing to take extra frizz out. I also use his Add Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner. Jonathan Antin is a superfamous hairstylist in L.A. His products work really well but they are a bit pricey, but it's totally worth it, because it's saved my hair and given me many good hair days and made my hair and life much easier. http://www.jonathanproduct.com

I've used Frizz Ease and about 50 other straightening products that haven't worked at all. I also recently discovered a line called Ojon, which uses a special oil that's been used by a tribe in South America for centuries and that keeps the hair shiny and most importantly healthy without weighing it down. I use their restorative treatment and recently bought their moisturizing shampoo that is amazing it left my hair very soft and healthy feeling. http://www.ojonhaircare.com

Their is another line by Loreal that a lot of professional stylists use and swear by called Kerastase that could help as well you can find it at http://www.loreal.com look under Loreal Paris, then professional products.
