My friend's hair?

My friend (12 years old) has got extremely frizzy curly hair (mostly frizz). She is caucasion but her hair resembles african-american hair except it's blonde! How can I help her with her hair?? Should she cut it short or keep it long...she usually brushes it and puts it in a ponytail but I know it can look a lot prettier if she just figures out how to do it.

I have curly hair but my sisters is just like your friends! The way she takes care of it is using her fingers to comb through it when it's wet (she can't get a brush or wide tooth comb through it!) and then she uses an anti-frizz serum on it, and then products that are made to accentuate curly hair (cat walk has an awesome product for this!)

~ A longer style is usually better for this kind of curly hair, something that goes past the shoulders, this will keep her from getting that fuzzy "Q-tip" look to her hair.

~Try to keep from playing with it! Playing with curly hair while it's drying promotes frizzies!

~DO NOT BLOW DRY! If you have to make sure that you use a diffuser. Blow drying helps to promote "BIG HAIR" usually frowned upon by us curly haired gals!

She needs some type of de-frizz solution. Almost any hairproducts store you'll go to will be sure to have multiple types of this.

She should try some anti frizz serum. If that doesn't work, sometimes a hairdresser can comb a perm through her hair and it will actually straighten it. Have her mom look into that for her.

have u tryed a flat iron? also a good cut and moisturizer helps.

smoothing serums and anit-frizz products will work....she should stop brushing her hair, it will only make it frizzier. a little gel and scrunch it up

From experience: use a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner(TIGI Curls Rock)...them put Bed Head Ego Boost on it for the frizz, also use TIGI Curls Rock Leave-in Moisturizer and Curls Rock Curl Booster...let hair dry naturally or use a blow dryer(on low) with a diffuser(let her flip her head upside down to blow dry it...get hair trimmed regularly by someone who knows how to cut curly hair properly...you can also use a straightening iron if she wants to wear it straight...or get it chemically or thermally straighten...however naturally is much better...good luck!!
